< Emailing from the Column View < Email Clients regarding Services about to Start

If you have clients that have booked services well in advance, for instance vacation visits or boarding, you may wish to communicate with them a week or so in advance of their upcoming services to remind them that their service is approaching. This gives them the opportunity to update you on any changes since the time they placed their booking.

 

Pet Sitter Plus provides the option to send emails to clients from the Schedule about services that are about to start. This can be done from the Column View or the List View, on an individual client basis or for multiple clients simultaneously.

NOTE: If there isn't a suitable email template provided for you in your system, you will need to create a new email template. To learn how to do this and see if there is an existing template example that you can copy, please see our list of Email Template Examples for further instructions. 

How do I email clients from the Column View regarding Services about to Start? 

           ON DESKTOP

 

Navigate to Scheduler > Schedule > Column View

STEP 1

 

  • From the Column View, select the date for which you will notify clients about their services about to start

    • For example, click "Today" or enter a custom date range and click "Reload" 

  • Select "First Service Only" from the "Scheduled & Completed" drop-down

  • Select the client(s) by putting a check in the checkbox to the left of their service

  • Click the "Email" button 

 

STEP 2

 

After clicking "Email..." a box will appear and you will be able to select the appropriate email template to send your clients.

 

Note that the email templates already include "merge codes." The merge codes will automatically insert client information into the body of the email. For instance, the merge code "{CLIENT_FORENAME}" will insert the client's first name into the email. If you are sending the email to multiple clients, their individual client names will be inserted into the email so their email is customized for them. Your clients will then receive the email, which has been customized because of the merge codes within your email template. 

        ON MOBILE 

STEP 1

 

  • Tap the Navigator, and select Scheduler > Schedule > Column View

STEP 2

 

  • From the Column View, navigate to the services for which you will notify clients regarding services about to start

    • Select the appropriate day or date range
    • ​Use the right and left arrows in the column header to scroll through the columns of the Schedule (Morning, Midday, etc)​

  • From the drop-down menu, select "First Service only"​

  • Select the service(s) by putting a check in the checkbox next to the service

 

STEP 3

  • Tap the "Actions" button 

  • Tap "Email..."

 

STEP 4

 

After tapping "Email..." a box will appear and you will be able to select the appropriate email template to send your clients.
